**Flu Clinic Saturday 20th November 2021**

We still have appointments available for under 65's for Saturday's clinic. Please ring the surgery to make an appointment (preferably after 11am after the morning rush).

Please note that we do not have any more over 65's flu vaccines available.

This will be the last flu clinic that we will be holding

You must continue to wear a face mask in our practice after 19 July

When attending our GP surgery, you must continue to wear a face mask and follow social distancing rules, unless you are exempt.  Practice staff will continue to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

This will help to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff, especially those who are more vulnerable to infection.

This is in line with the latest national guidance which applies to all healthcare settings in England.  You can find more about this on the NHS England website here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/2021/07/nhs-patients-staff-and-visitors-must-continue-to-wear-face-coverings-in-healthcare-settings/

We are working extremely hard to provide safe care to our patients. We hope that this helps clarify why these measures are in place.

The Valleys Primary Care Network

Since the NHS was created in 1948, the population has grown and people are living longer. Many people are living with long-term conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, or suffer with mental health issues and may need to acces their local health services more often. To meet these needs, practices have begun working together with community, mental health, social care, pharmacy, hospital and voluntary services in their local areas in primary Care Networks (PCNs).

PCNs build on the core of current primary care services and enable greater provision of proactive, personalised, coordinated and more integrated health and social care.

PCNs are based on GP registered lists in geographical areas, typically serving natural communities of around 30,000 to 50,000.

Slaithwaite Health Centre is part of The Valleys Primary Care Network with Oakland's Health Centre, Colne Valley Group Practice, Honley Surgery, Elmwood Health Centre, Meltham Group Practice. Our Clinical Director is Dr Dil Ashraf.
